In short: I wrote that film bros article.
The longer version: I'm a freelance writer, editor, researcher and copywriter based in East London.
As a writer I'm interested in contemporary independent cinema with a particular focus on depictions of adolescence and suburbia. I also love writing about culture and society in general.
On a previous iteration of my website, I said that I wanted to write an article that made the rounds on Twitter and achieved semi-virality. I went on to write that film bros article, so mission accomplished.
More recently, I completed my master's in film studies at UCL. My thesis, titled "Escaping Reproductive Futurism: Monstrous Youth in American Suburbia after the Turn of the Millennium", earned me a distinction. I also managed to wangle myself a distinction for my entire degree.
When I'm not angering men-kind, convincing people that Spring Breakers is a work of genius or conducting my ongoing analysis of Adam Sandler's indie-film career, I work as a creative copywriter. I have previously worked for Deeper into Movies, Endless Wardrobe and Staycation. Currently, I am the lead copywriter for the tech start up VisionAI and the head of content at Reelstore.
